Affordable Avon

Hello my beautiful people well today I'm going to talk to you about my cheapie but amazing all the same make up. Some of you may know I recently started doing avon (why is beyond me because I seem to Always buy up all the stock and not make any money out of it) but yeah anyway I recently received my order where I had just brought an eye shadow primer, pink blush, smokey eye eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner,eye liner brush and eye shadow brush. (Not that I needed any of it after spending ver £150 in mac recently) but oh my days it's amazing. I'm totally in live with the eyeliner and eyeliner brush The primer is just amazing and the eye shadow just lasts all day. Now I know I like to think cheap but I'd never normally skimp on any make up until now. I'm even thinking about stocking up on all my items because I know I'll just run out and knowing my luck it'll all be discontinued. Anyone who hasn't tried these products really should - Iv not used the mascara yet mainly due to the fact that I fake it with eye lash extensions but for the times when I don't have any on ill be sure to give this ago but if anyone in the mean time as used this mascara please let me know what you think about it.. I also brought some gorgeous nail polish but the blog for that can be found under the nail section :)

Red hair don't care

So as you can tell from the subject of this post I have red hurrrrr!!
The best part of being a hairdresser is knowing all the latest trends and being able to change your colour and style as you please. Well Iv had the urge for the past  few months to go back red.
I was red way back in 2010 but had to change the colour for two reasons one i was heading off to Cyprus in the sun and it would have turned my hair ginger and two my hair condition couldn't take it anymore with the red so I was forced to dye it back brown.
For the last few months Iv been going crazy getting my hair back up to condition and even had a serious chop to get rid of the hair that was spilt beyond belief.

Shampoo: Iv been using matrix repair shampoo to open the cuticle
Conditioner: Paul Mitchell super charge to help get back some of the moisture into my hair
Treatment/mask: Iv been using h keratin complex rep £35 but worth every penny and smells Devine
Pre blowdry: I have a number of things I use either redken anti-snap or matrix repair break treatment
Post blowdry: to soothes over my hair I use heat glide by redken this is an amazing product pricey but well worth it. It's a heat protector that helps smoother down the fly away bits that go static and adds gloss.

I slap on a few other things in between that I buy from my works or hairdressing conventions. Depends what mood I'm in and how long I have.

To blowdry my hair I use the new GHD air hair dryer with pink trim and to straighten or curl I use the GHD gold series Christmas special straighteners

So back to my hair colour

Excuse the fact that I have no makeup on!! 

Ok so my hair base started as a level 5 I used gold well 5RR MAX and 6RR MAX with a hint of RR MIX to add in some red to give abit of added colour. To maintain my colour and stop it from going ginger or fade Iv been using revlon 500 in raspberry/red every time I wash and put it on for 3 mins after my shampoo but before my conditioner or mask. 

So far Iv had this red hair for about a month and had no fade what so ever. I even have regroth 

 So I think I'll be needing my roots done soon..


*please note in the picture I have only rough dryed my hair so its dry no styling tools have been used on it but I may upload a tutorial on how I do my hair sometime in the future *

Claire day care bargain day

Hey guys!!
So today I had my gorgeous nephew Leland for the day, in true shopaholic style I dragged him to all the shops for a little mini spree. (Only spent £101.89) I don't usually have Leland on a Monday it's normally my boyfriends sisters little boy I look after but his with his nanny today and my sister had work so I became Claire day care again.
Having spent a little too much money on myself I did buy him a few little pressies.

Amongst my loved purchases is my fav a cath kidston style throw - now I'm such a homely girl and I love being snuggled up so ill use it as my blanket to cuddle under on the sofa while catching up with what's on telly and I absolutely love cath kidston stuff because its all very girlie and cute with lots of floral stuff and polka dots..

Also with summer on the way (hopefully) I brought myself a couple of new play suits and other essential summer wear. Pretty chuffed at the fact that all clothes I brought today were a size 14 meaning Iv dropped a dress size since starting slimming world so I'm very excited and happy about that.

Most people that know me or follow my twitter (@missclaiirebear) know that I love a good bargain and that I'm always out looking for the latest bargains I can find, don't get me wrong I love spending money in places like river island top shop and mac for makeup but my thinking is why not spend less so you can get more!  Their for my fav shop in the whole world has to be primark!!!  (Not for make up though obvs) I mean who don't want to walk out of a shop having spend £40 and having a million purchases to show for your money? The other thing is having a house and running it drinks an awful lot of your money so their for I don't have as much to spend as I'd like too. Please don't shoot me down though guys if I comment in future having spend £100 on sale kirk Geiger shoes! A girl needs a big splurge once in a while..

Ok so this is my first ever blog - I'm very excited but also little nervous.
So here's a little about myself and stuff I promise to bring to my blog to make you want to read it.

I'm a 24 year old girlie girl who loves anything hair related fashion related, anything to do with make up shopping and making my life all round easier. I currently own my home with my boyfriend so love anything vintage or shabby chic for my house!


Ok so this is me.....

I'm currently mid way through slimming world - why? Because A, I have a bridesmaid dress to get into and B, I want to feel body confident when it comes to the beach. I'm quite an out going person and usually don't care what people have to say about me BUT inside their is a sensitive little girl that gets hurt easy.

So as you can tell I'm into abit of everything so this blog is abit for everyone.

So this is me as its pretty late and I have a long day of shopping ahead tomorrow I'm going to sign off and catch up with you guys tomorrow. :)
